Have you ever watched the show about a guy with three wives? Then you may want to start doing it now.  Big Love is a show about family, but not your typical family kind of story. Hailed from the network that produced almost all top-billed television series today, HBO comes out with another show that will really test your judgment.

Creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer had spent a good three years of research with their desire to come up with something domestic yet not your ordinary kind of story. The important factor in the series of Big Love that was elaborately present in the show.

The series centers on Bill Henrickson portrayed by Bill Paxton, a polygamist businessman with three wives: Barbara, Nicki, and Margene. Father of seven children, and all lived in adjacent houses with common backyard so each can have a piece of him on a regular rotation. Barbara is played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, Bill’s first and legal wife, mother to Sarah, Ben and Tancy.

Nicolette “Nicki” Grant – is Bill’s second wife, Barbara’s caretaker during her fight with cancer, and Roman Grant’s daughter; mother to Wayne, Raymond, and Cara Lynn. The character is potrayed by Chloe Sevigny.

And the last but not the least, Ginnifer Goodwin as Margene “Margie” Heffman, Bill’s third and youngest wife. Mother of Lester, Aaron, and Nell.  All three wives, including their children are bound to live together in one place and for one man. The only problem is, despite the traditional polygamy being practice in the culture of Mormons, this activity is not anymore accepted in Utah, the place where the Hendrickson’s are.

The shows take on the polygamy subject is a drama in many layers. It brings you in the very point of what polygamy is all about. If you have not seen it, then try to spare time and watch it. It really has a great story.

The series is executive produced by creators Mark V. Olsen (Easter) and Will Scheffer (Easter), Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman (Band of Brothers, The Polar Express).
