Brothers and Sisters

Brothers and Sisters circles around the lives of the multi-generational Walker Family.

After the death of the family's patriarch, William Walker (recurring guest star Tom Skerritt), the Walker family children along with the family matriarch, Nora Walker (Sally Field), must work together as they go through the bumpy road that lies ahead for their lives.

The conflicts of some matters, including William's mistress Holly (Patricia Wettig) who always seems to find herself involved the Walker family problems. However, Nora does seek for help from her older brother Saul (Ron Rifkin).

We see how complex the life of the Walker children just as how it is with their parent’s lives.

Sarah (Rachel Griffiths), the eldest, balances her career with being a single mother to her two children. Tommy (Balthazar Getty), the oldest son, is dealing with the family issue of his own, dealing about the separation with his wife and daughter.

Kitty (Calista Flockhart) is hot on her campaign trail after a run in with cancer.

Kevin (Matthew Rhys) and his husband Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) are expecting their first child after their surrogate finds out that she is pregnant. Then there is Justin (Dave Annable), who is in med school and recently has gotten married to Rebecca (Emily VanCamp).

The reception of the show is very positive since its first airing, and have won numerous awards, including Sally Field’s Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series last 2007 at Emmys, and been nominated number of times.

Brothers and Sisters is from producer Ken Olin and Jon Robin Baitz. Aside from its award-winning actors, the show has been running good for its great writing and scripts. The series was aired since 2006 until 2011. There is no news yet on when the show will be airing again after the season 5 ending.
